Essential Oils- Nutmeg

 

Nutmeg Oil aroma is reminiscent of Christmas, so they say. Rightly so, because a lot of Christmas goodies are flavoured with Nutmeg Oil.

Nutmeg is one of the world's most favourite spices. Botanically, it is called Myristica Fragrans, an equatorial tree, growing to about 70 feet, found in Grenada, Indonesia and the West Indies. The seeds are used to extract the essential oil. Manufacturers of nutmeg essential oil import the seeds from these countries.

Nutmeg is called the queen of spices, and no modern kitchen is without a nutmeg as one of its prized spices.
